50 newsletters published in 2024. Many reflections shared. Some lessons learned. Others yet to be fully grasped. But three experiences left their mark.
Before you read on, I’d like to say thank you for supporting my work this year. It’s been an incredibly fulfilling experience.
Whether you read one post, shared perspectives with me, or extended your appreciation by becoming a paid reader — every engagement has made a difference.
There are too many people to thank in one post, so as a small gesture, I created a thank you page on my website.
Now, onto the lessons that didn’t fade.
Curious
The present:
The more I pay attention, the more I realise how much I haven’t paid attention.
- The iPhone As An Analogy For Being
If there was a sticky note I could pin to a message board in the front office of my mind, it would be the above. When I keep it front and centre, the present opens up.
I encourage you to pause and look around now. I bet there is something in your field of awareness that you hadn’t previously paid attention to.
Conscious
The protagonist:
When you say no to what doesn’t matter, you say yes to your peace and happiness, both of which are central to living well and free.
- The Freedom Of Saying No
No is the protagonist for what matters most. How can you use it to your advantage?
Change
The plunge:
When you dive head-first into a challenge that forces you to explore the perimeter of your ability and discover that it’s much further out than you once imagined — limitation loses its grip, old beliefs are erased, and a renewed version of you emerges.
- The Transformational Effect Of Challenge
Taking the plunge into online writing and ultra-running revealed that our minds conditioned stories serve only one purpose — to restrict you from living free.
Sometimes, you have to take the plunge, rip up the script, and see what you are truly capable of.
See you in 2025.
Live Free,
Niall

I love this. Thank you so much for sharing these insights Niall! I would also write down the first point on a piece of paper and keep it with me. Such an important reminder✨
