“I don't know if I've got 48 more years of life ahead of me…”
“I'm approaching 50 in the next few years. I've worked since I was 14 and missed out on a lot of things for the almighty job, for the paycheck, to pay off that credit card, or whatever. I don't know if I've got 48 more years of life ahead of me, so when I catch myself spending too much time on the internet, staring at my phone, or whatever, I've got to get out of the house. I live in a small town. Lots of sidewalks. Side streets. I'm always walking. Evening runs most of the time. I need time. I need time to think, rest, and stare out the window. Time for walks and hikes. Time with friends and good people. Right now, I make enough to sustain this life. To take a few walks a day. To get away from my computer. Maybe I don't have the nicest car or live in a cooler city at the moment, but right now, today, I've got time, and that's what matters most to me.”

Wow, only yesterday did I see Seth's name pop up on a Notes comment thread. So serendipitous to see these connections happen more and more frequently. Thanks for sharing this, Niall. You always offer gems that fuel my week with wisdom and encouragement.
Feeling the same way.
