They say that everything comes down to love or fear.
- Bronnie Ware, The Top Five Regrets Of The Dying
Reflections on the choice between love and fear.
Make a play:
Following your passion in public forces you to choose between fear and love. You can express what you love and face ridicule, or play it safe and lose all love for what you do. Whatever play you make, you will never please everyone, so you might as well stay true to yourself.
Hang up:
Fear is like a scam caller. In control when you follow the script. Rendered useless when you hang up. Or better yet, when you don’t answer.
Which is it?:
When I read Bronnie’s quote, the immediate question that came to mind was, which of my choices are led by love and which come down to fear?
What does it look like for you?

I think often about the connection between love and fear, or hope and fear, and the role these have played in my life, especially as a writer. Fear always paralyzes me, convinces me I'm not good enough, pushes back when I sense I need to step out and take a healthy risk. Love says I have something the world needs that only I can give and to show up every day, as I am.
