I think often about the connection between love and fear, or hope and fear, and the role these have played in my life, especially as a writer. Fear always paralyzes me, convinces me I'm not good enough, pushes back when I sense I need to step out and take a healthy risk. Love says I have something the world needs that only I can give and to show up every day, as I am.
I very much try to take the energy of fear and turn it to love and devotion whenever possible. For this I especially draw inspiration from a song by J. Donald Walters (Swami Kriyananda) called "I Live Without Fear." A symbol of a personal realisation put into practice:) I used to get a tattoo for a big life lesson I learned.
Now the biggest lesson is I never needed these tattoos in the first place, so I’m slowly removing them haha
